Father , this week is your week. Speak the truth and hope into my life. Give me ears to hear you speak. Grant me discipline to open your word in order to listen to your voice. Whatever is before me, give me what I need at the moment. Even now, I listen to you. May you alone be praised. In Jesus Name Amen
James 5:13 -14- Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.(14) Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
Effective prayer occurs when you talk to God and listen to what God is saying to you. When a need arises today Talk to God about it. Upon the authority of God’s word, when you are sick, hurting or have a need call upon the one that will hear and can help.
You will have needs today. You may have needs right now. Personal pride will call you to try and work it out yourself. Stubbornness will just try to wait it out, thinking things will improve.
Consider God’s way, talk to him about it right now and then open his word, letting him speak to promise into your day. When you do, the Holy Spirit will do what only he can do in your life. He will move upon you with peace and give you confidence that God is with you. So be of clear mind and come to God with a humble heart in prayer and speak to him what’s on your mind, and rejoice in his love today.
