THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

Galatians 5:22-23 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

In Galatians 5, we are also told that when people live by the Spirit, they will bear “fruit of the Spirit.” But what, exactly, is the fruit of the Spirit? Well it’s a way of behaving Yourself, in a way of treating other people, a way of showing the world what it means to be a Christian to show them the love of Jesus Christ.

The Bible says, “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control.” Today and every day, will you strive to be patient, joyful, loving, and kind? Will you really try to control yourself? And while you’re at it, will you be peaceful, gentle, patient, and faithful? Remember the world is watching you like an open book.

If you’ll demonstrate to the world that the fruits of the Spirit you can make a wonderful difference in the lives of good Christian people—people like you! Plus you can make a difference in a person who is seeking Jesus Christ.

Now remember this though we, as Christians, are like Christ having the first fruits of the Spirit, we are unlike Him, having the remainders of the flesh. This is the very reason we should do as Gal 5:25 says to walk in the Spirit and not of the Flesh. By doing this we can enjoy our walk with God and be a light to the lost and dying world out their.

Now some people have received Christ but they yet never reached spiritual maturity, reason for this is they always have a tendency to walk in the flesh and this is the main reason many they are not showing the fruits of God’s Holy Spirit. We should grow as Christians each and every day, and we are not completely mature until we live in the presence of Jesus Christ himself.

The Holy Spirit is like a living and continually flowing fountain in believers. We have the boundless privilege of tapping into that fountain every time we pray, walk and talk with him. The more we abide in Christ, the more fruit we bear. Do as God says, draw close to him and he will draw close to us and do not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

Be a light for all others to see and let them know what the love of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ has done for us and show them how to be really set free.

Amen
